- Establishment and management of large-scale clinical research databases, including data harmonization, quality control, and longitudinal data integration
- Statistical analysis of clinical cohorts, including identification of factors associated with disease progression and treatment response
- Development and application of machine-learning and predictive modelling approaches
- Integration of molecular and clinical data to identify biomarkers and disease-associated regulatory programs
- Development of reproducible computational workflows and contribution to experimental and clinical study design
- Presentation and publication of results in collaboration with molecular biologists, nephrologists, and clinicians
Your profile
We are looking for a scientist with a PhD or equivalent degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, statistics, data science, genomics or a related field.
You should have:
- Strong programming skills in R and/or Python
- Experience with high-dimensional biological and/or clinical data
- Experience with single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, clinical data science or related fields
- An interest in machine learning and predictive modelling
- Experience with database design or large-scale clinical datasets is an advantage
- Strong scientific curiosity and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
What we offer:
This position offers the opportunity to work at the interface of developmental biology, functional genomics, nephrology, clinical research, and data science, using datasets spanning in vitro and in vivo models, human kidney biopsies, and longitudinal clinical cohorts. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead computational projects and to contribute to research linking molecular mechanisms to human kidney disease and clinical outcomes.
