Let’s shape the future of wealth management together. We seek a highly skilled Spanish speaking lawyer to join our Wealth Planning team in Zurich, Switzerland. Wealth Planning, a unit of Global Products & Solutions (GPS), is a core offering of the JB Group and provides legal advice (trust, tax, family law and governance…) to support Relationship Managers (RMs) in acquiring, maintaining, and retaining private client relationships. Your main responsibility will be to provide legal and tax guidance and introduce wealth planning products and solutions to meet the needs of our private clients. The successful candidate will stand out for their ability to deliver excellence in two key areas. The first is as private legal matter expert in Latin American markets including experience with Mexico. The second is being a legal with a focus on topics such as family governance, philanthropy, relocation, succession planning, taxation and wealth structuring topics. YOUR CHALLENGE Provide strategic and holistic wealth planning guidance to RMs and their clients, actively coordinating the wealth planning process by leveraging internal and external experts as needed Implement suitable solutions, such as private insurance, private trusts, private foundations or private companies in collaboration with internal and external providers Serve as a subject matter specialist in client-facing interactions, including traveling to meet with the clients together with the RMs Support RMs and other stakeholders by providing training, knowledge transfer and assistance on wealth planning topics and services/products YOUR PROFILE Professional Qualifications & Education Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a legal and trust advise role, within a private bank, a legal practice or a family office Strong knowledge of LATAM (especially Mexico) legal and tax structure and used to advise private clients on those matters University degree in Law (a Latin American country qualification), master in tax or a related field is a must Additional qualifications on family governance or STEP accreditation, are an advantage Experience & Competencies Spanish native speaker and Fluent in English Client-centric approach, passion for advising private clients Engaging personality with the ability to instil trust with demanding clients and private bankers Capacity to travel to LATAM several times a year Strong work ethic and ability to collaborating with different stakeholders across locations Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
