EDV Werke is looking for an Automation Engineer (DeltaV).
Working Model: On-site (3 days per week)
Location: Visp, Valais, Switzerland
Form of cooperation: B2B Contract
Tasks:

DeltaV Engineering – Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects and regulated production environments

System Configuration – Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms, and process automation applications

GxP Documentation – Prepare and maintain engineering and validation documentation in line with GxP requirements and applicable standards

System Integration – Integrate DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES, and other plant systems

Testing & Qualification – Execute and document FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities

Troubleshooting – Investigate and resolve automation, communication, and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle

Compliance Management – Ensure adherence to GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements

Project Collaboration – Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality, and Project teams to support successful delivery
Must-Have Skills:
-
Technical Education – Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

DeltaV Expertise – Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering, configuration, and control system development

Process Automation – Knowledge of process automation, control systems, system interfaces, and industrial integration

GxP Documentation – Experience preparing and maintaining engineering and validation documentation in regulated industries

Commissioning & Validation – Knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes, including FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ

Troubleshooting – Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis of automation and communication issues

CAPEX Projects – Experience working in CAPEX project environments and supporting project execution activities

Language Skills – German proficiency is required, with English language skills preferred

System Integration – Experience integrating control systems with PLCs, MES, utility systems, and process equipment

Regulatory Compliance – Familiarity with GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Validation teams
