Senior Python Developer – Quantitative Trading Systems Join Our Wealth Management Team Our Wealth Management team combines investment expertise with technology to deliver crypto investment solutions. We are developing the systems that connect quantitative research, portfolio management and trading execution, turning investment strategies into reliable, controlled and transparent portfolio actions. These systems bring together market data, strategy signals, portfolio positions and collateral information to determine trading instructions and pass them to our Trading and Order Management System (OMS) infrastructure for execution. Reliability, security and traceability are central to this work. If you are passionate about building production-grade Python systems at the intersection of quantitative investing and digital assets, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with a strong background in software engineering, distributed systems and trading workflows to join our Wealth Management team. In this role, you will translate quantitative research and investment requirements into robust, maintainable production applications. You will develop the services connecting strategy computation, portfolio positioning and downstream execution, ensuring that investment decisions are implemented accurately and safely. You will work closely with quant analysts, portfolio managers, data engineers, infrastructure specialists and the Trading/OMS team. Your primary focus will be Python application development and integration, collaborating with dedicated colleagues responsible for data pipelines, infrastructure and order execution. You will have the following responsibilities
- Develop production-grade Python applications that translate research code and quantitative signals into reliable, maintainable services.
- Design modular, distributed workflows connecting data availability, strategy computation, portfolio positioning and trading instructions through asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.
- Implement portfolio-level trading logic using current positions, target exposures, collateral and account configurations, including rebalancing and derivatives-related requirements.
- Integrate with trading platforms and external APIs to retrieve account, position and collateral information, handling authentication, inconsistent data and external-system failures.
- Maintain a clear separation between investment and execution decisions, coordinating interfaces with the Trading/OMS team.
- Build operational safeguards against duplicate or excessive trading, including frequency limits, cooldown periods and safe handling of stale inputs, maintenance windows and execution uncertainty.
- Ensure monitoring and auditability through decision and execution logs that explain why the system acted—or did not act—and support troubleshooting across workflows.
- Maintain engineering quality and security through automated testing, code reviews, documentation, robust error handling, approved secret management and appropriate separation of test, QA and production environments.
- Collaborate across investment and technology teams to preserve strategy logic, resolve data dependencies and support releases and operational incidents.
- Develop configuration tools and dashboards to support strategy and portfolio setup, workflow activation and visibility into signals, positions and execution decisions.
What you bring along
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong production-grade Python engineering experience, including converting research or prototype code into tested, documented and maintainable applications.
- Experience with distributed systems and software architecture, including modular services, asynchronous processing, message queues, orchestration and concurrency.
- Sound understanding of trading-system workflows, from market data and strategy signals through portfolio sizing, order submission and execution.
- Knowledge of portfolio positioning and collateral management, including target versus actual exposure, rebalancing and derivatives mechanics.
- Hands-on experience integrating external APIs, including authentication, account-state interpretation and resilient handling of failures or inconsistent data.
- Experience implementing operational controls and monitoring for systems where incorrect, duplicate or delayed actions can have financial consequences.
- Understanding of secure application integration, including credential protection, secret management and environment separation.
- Ability to translate investment requirements into technical solutions and explain complex system behaviour clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across investment, engineering, infrastructure and trading teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience implementing quantitative strategies and indicators such as moving averages, Bollinger Bands and MACD while preserving the underlying investment logic.
- Practical knowledge of crypto spot markets, futures and perpetuals, including long, short and hedged positioning, exchange conventions and collateral arrangements.
- Familiarity with Talos, including its APIs, account and portfolio structures, account states and integration with downstream execution systems.
- Understanding of market-data pipelines, aggregation, completeness and timeliness, and their impact on strategy computation.
- Experience building configuration tools and operational dashboards for investment or trading workflows.
- Familiarity with C# / .NET interoperability; hands-on C# development experience is an advantage but not a primary requirement.
- Understanding of deployment, release management and production support in collaboration with dedicated infrastructure specialists.
