This Position reports to: Production Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) In this position, you will provide assistance in testing and verification activities on a range of assignments in the UPS products of ABB Smart Power in Quartino. You will be in charge of the testing and verification activities for low- and medium-complexity systems, subsystems, or products. The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Defining the troubleshooting procedure and troubleshooting level two, in case a new event occurs not covered by the troubleshooting procedure. Maintaining, changing, and optimizing test instructions for mass production in consultancy with the R&D Engineer (Center of Excellence). Providing technical support during the installation of test objects in the test area. Assisting the Production Supervisor in defining and maintaining the skill matrix for test operators. Qualifications for the role At least 3 years of experience in UPS, working as a service technician, or in engineering, testing, etc. Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools, including measurement with a power meter, oscilloscope, etc. A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies. A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
